Mixing rare ethnic instruments with new technologies and more familiar tones (like cello, electric bass, pedal steel guitar, etc), he crafts fascinating arrangements that float over time and space yet feel extremely modern and are definitely elegant. As a videographer, I do love to work on his projects: Phil’s sounds are very inspiring also in the process of fitting images to accompany the songs."
